Still on Universal Analytics?
We've got you covered.
Go Insights monitors your Universal Analytics property and alerts you to changes, while also supporting GA4 when you're ready to migrate.
What we monitor
UA may be legacy, but your data still matters. We monitor the same core metrics.
What we catch
Real examples of issues Go Insights has surfaced on Google Analytics UA accounts:
- Session counts diverging from GA4 during a migration, flagging a tracking discrepancy
- Goal completions dropping after a site change
- A key traffic source declining over several weeks
Why monitoring Google Analytics UA matters
Google officially sunset Universal Analytics in July 2023 and stopped processing new data, but many organisations still reference historical UA data for year-over-year comparisons, and some have custom implementations that continue to send data to UA properties. If your organisation is still in a transitional period, monitoring UA alongside GA4 ensures you catch any discrepancies between the two systems.
During migrations, it's common for tracking to break in one system but not the other. A conversion tag that fires correctly in UA might not have an equivalent GA4 event configured, or vice versa. Monitoring both systems simultaneously surfaces these gaps early, before they show up as unexplained discrepancies in a quarterly report.
If you've fully migrated to GA4, we recommend setting up GA4 monitoring as your primary analytics integration. Go Insights supports both, so you can transition at your own pace.
